We’re turning 70!
The Anderson Valley Fire Department and Ambulance are celebrating 70 exciting years serving the community. We can all vaguely remember when the ambulance was just a station wagon, calls went to a phone in a volunteer’s home, some responders kept an old engine at home for quicker response, or the old redwood barns along the highway that sheltered an apparatus… We’ve come a long way.
We are proud of our ability to grow with our community into 6 dedicated stations throughout the Valley. Housing an amazing fleet of 22 engines, from quick response small “rescues” to wildland engines with 1,000 gallons of water, to water tenders with 3,000 of water and our two ambulances. All strategically purchased and placed to protect our neighbors.
The Anderson Valley Volunteer Fire Fighters Association would happily like to invite you, our community, and your family and friends to come celebrate 70 amazing years with us. Join us October 18th at the Anderson Valley Brewing Company, from 1:00-4:00 for free food, live music, games, a bounce house, stories, and tons of fun. We hope to see you there!
